I was laid from Southwestern College in June 2009 under the disguise of a reorganization. As a union member, I am entitled to a demotion according to my contract. I applied and quailifed for a job 20 grades lower than my previous job. I was told I would be granted the position and then out of the blews the position was put on hold peniding an analysis of the postion so that it could be downgraded! This is how SWC operates…. layoffs, bullying, suspensions and now the campus police is investigating students who participated in the rally in order to press charges….. for what? FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
