in ann arbor, the first teach-in against the war in vietnam, march 24, 1965, began as a proposed faculty strike (shut it down) and became an “open it up” action where the university of michigan administration “allowed” us to use all the facilities of the main classroom building (like wheeler) all night to teach what we knew about the war. keep it open to outeducate them is a good move.
