Hey Angus,
I started up this new online letter writing campaign to help insert the student perspective into the discourse in Sacramento. Yudof is currently getting people on his list (supposedly 200,000+) to send emails to Schwarzenegger, first thanking him for his “support” of higher education, then asking him to fully fund the UC (not to push for new revenues, or to democratize the Regents). To present what students and the state of CA actually want and need, we’re trying to get everyone (UC, CSU, CC, alumni, anyone and their moms, literally) to send letters with a stark counter-narrative. We have set up an online form that automatically creates pdfs that we will then collect and jam up CA Assembly and Senate fax machines with.

Actually, I didn’t start it alone. I’m just trying to promote it.
